This blue light enters your eyes and signals your brain to think it is still day time. Taking this signal, your brain then restricts the flow of melatonin through your body.

While many are aware of how blue light from electronics disrupts sleep, many do not know that about 25% of the blue light from fluorescent lighting and 35% from LED lights is also damaging to eye health, over time raising the risk of vision problems including macular degeneration.
